Disney girl gone bad Miley Cyrus released a filthy and trashy music video last week for her song "We Can't Stop." Both her song and music video are the epitome of the YOLO lifestyle: living in the moment and not caring about the future. Throughout the song, Miley gyrates disgustingly, kisses a female doll, constantly shakes her hiny, and makes tasteless facial expressions.
The entire song lacks substance and is heavily focused on partying chaotically YOLO style. It's honestly the anthem of third-wave feminists: dressing and behaving in a disgusting mannish way to be immorally equal to guys who behave the same way.
The song opens up with a moral relativist tone, which continues throughout the song:
| || |
It’s our party we can do what we want
It’s our party we can say what we want
It’s our party we can love who we want
We can kiss who we want
We can see who we want (2x)
Apparently, anything is acceptable at Miley's party, because...
| || |
This is our house
This is our rules
And we can’t stop
And we won’t stop
When Miley sings, "And we can't stop, And we won't stop" repeatedly throughout her song, she sends the message that young people are incapable of controlling themselves and can't help but give into the YOLO lifestyle, which actually leads to a life of ruin and utter unhappiness.
Miley's song gets even more disgusting when she praisefully "sings" about "my homegirls with the big butts" and doing a line of cocaine:
| || |
To my homegirls here with the big butts
Shaking it like we at a strip club
Remember only God can judge us
Forget the haters cause somebody loves ya
And everyone in line in the bathroom
Trying to get a line in the bathroom
We all so turnt up here
Getting turnt up yea yea
This part of the song symbolizes a large and growing problem in our culture: moral decay, as evidenced by meaningless lyrics matched with a catchy beat. Clearly, Miley knows that her wrongful actions are not going unnoticed. Also, this part of the song reveals how these types of parties make girls falsely believe that they are truly loved by random strangers they briefly meet to "get some now." What a horrible message to send to young women, Ms. Cyrus.
It is terrifying that our culture has stooped to such a low level. This is the dream of the American Left: creating a society that does not see a need to define anything that is utterly wrong. In their utopia, nothing is sacred anymore, because everything goes, no matter what. Since this dream has been achieved, we see our society crumbling from within as Hollywood continues to promote the YOLO lifestyle that leaves young people with empty promises and deep regret.
